The most common sizes for saddle stitch books are 8 1/2" x 11" and 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".

Your saddle stitch book can be in color or black and white.

Number of Sides

The pages in your saddle stitch book can be either one sided or two sided.

Stock

You have a couple of choices for stock. Your first option is to use an 80 lb. or 100 lb. cover for the cover of your book and an 80 lb. or 100 lb. text for the inside pages.
Your second option is to do what is called a "self cover" and use 80 lb. or 100 lb. text as both the cover and inside pages.
